Are you one of those who never has time for breakfast, always making a quick dash to the office with an empty stomach? I'm sure a lot of us can relate to an incident like that. Well, what if you were to spare 5 minutes of your time before you leave for work to make yourself a nutritious breakfast? And I'm not even asking you to eat at the breakfast table! Ham, cheese and onion toastie is one of the easiest breakfast meal anyone can make. In fact you can put anything in your toastie, not necessarily ham and onion BUT it is important you add slices of cheddar cheese to it. You want to achieve that gooey, melted cheese feel once you bite into your breakfast. Have you ever wondered why melted cheese is so much tastier than a piece of cold cut cheese? It is because of the fat acts as a shortening agent (like butter when baking), leading the cheese to collapse, ooze and giving you that creamy mouthfeel once you bite into your toastie. Having said this, its best you bite into your toastie as soon as it is ready, as if you leave it at room temperature for a long period of time, it will chemically revert back to its physical block form. So what are you waiting for? Spare 5 minutes of your time to prepare breakfast for yourself before you dash out through that front door! Ham, Cheese and Onion Toastie
